Changes to my Study Programme

Imagen
When I finish my degree, I'm supposed to be able to know food completely, whether in it's preservation, composition or creation. I'm currently in my second year, and so far the only subjects I have studied are the common module, which all the courses in my faculty have. These subjects are supposed to give us a base for the subjects that will come in the third year, for example, calculus, chemistry, electromagnetism, etc. The truth is, it bothers me a little that being in my second year I have not seen any subject that is directly related to the career, because although my career is mostly chemistry, in the common module they do not teach us anything related to food. In spite of this, I have to thank the professors that I had in these subjects, since I'm a person who finds it very difficult to understand at first, and the professors always make an effort so that all the students understand, in spite of having to explain many times, besides, they always leave us support m...

Time travel to the future

Imagen
I don't have a specific place or year that I would like to travel to in the future, but if I have to choose, it would be a year in which, even though, because of the years I would probably not be alive anymore, I would like to be there because I feel that at that time there will be many changes compared to now. So for this reason, I would like to travel to the year 2100 :D Looking into the past, the changes from 1900 to 2000 are gigantic, both in lifestyle and in the great amount of new things that exist, for this reason, I'm very interested in knowing what things will change between now and 2100, I would like to see the new inventions of people, the new way of life and above all to know if indeed we will be completely technological beings, that is, if everything we do will be guided by technology or if there will still be some "normal" life, I don't know if you understand me haha.  Maybe it is very childish, but I would like to see if in those years there will re...

My Future Job

Imagen
Hello everyone! I'm currently studying food engineering and as far as I know, at the time of graduation one can do various types of work, some would be in factories and others in laboratories. In my case, I'm interested in laboratory work, since that is where you can create various types of food, modify others, etc. For obvious reasons, laboratory work is indoors, since it involves materials and elements that if not used with caution, can cause harm to both people and the environment. Lab work has always interested me, the few times I've been to one I've liked it a lot, because it's fun to see how mixing things that maybe you didn't think would go well together, you create something completely new, that added that what you are creating can benefit other people is a very rewarding feeling and that's what I'd like to feel when I work. The truth is that when I was a child I wanted to work in something that would allow me to travel around the world, see new...

Childhood Series

Imagen
Today I will talk about the series I watched in my childhood. The truth is that I remember watching a lot of cartoons, but the ones I remember that I liked the most were: Diego & Glot, I think many of us already saw this series, as it's a Chilean series. I remember that I knew it because there was a time when there was no cable TV in my house, so it was what we had to entertain us. This series was very funny, it was broadcasted in the mornings by Canal 13 if I'm not mistaken, for this reason, there were times when I told my mom that I felt sick just to stay to watch this series hahaha. They also broadcasted other series like, Villa Dulce, Los Pulentos, etc. which were series that I liked a lot. Nowadays, the chapters are on Youtube and every time I watch them I feel like I go back to my childhood. Another series that I liked a lot was The Fairly OddParents, this cartoon I started watching when we already had cable TV at home. To be honest, I liked most of the Nickelodeon se...

My Pet!

Hello! today I am going to tell you about someone very special to me, my baby Tammy!  Tammy came into my life when she was a puppy, on June 28, 2008, when I was 6 years old. That day we had gone to the fair with my dad and when we were returning to our house, she was alone in the street, when she saw the fair cart she followed us home and somehow I convinced my parents and siblings to adopt her. She had long hair of three colors, black, white and brown,  light brown eyes, almost honey colored (quite pretty, I must say), very big ears and a quite peculiar breath haha. She was always a very active dog, she liked to go out and sniff everything she found, bark at dogs and unknown people, although the funniest thing was that even if she was in the street, she would enter the house to bark at them from the inside haha, she was very fearful. She was very affectionate with new people, either visitors or relatives who came from time to time, she would not leave them for anything in the...

The best holiday ever!

Imagen
The best holiday I ever had was my study tour, which was in December 2019 with my classmates, obviously. We went to the south of Chile and Argentina, to be exact to Puerto Varas and Bariloche. We were there for a week or so, I don't remember well anymore. The reason why this vacation was the best for me is because I have always wanted to see the south. I'm a person who likes cold weather and beautiful landscapes, so I think the south of Chile is the best place to enjoy that. It was amazing to see the difference between the sweltering heat of Santiago and the cold of the south. Another thing that made this trip unforgettable was the feeling of freedom I had being in a place without my parents, I know it's not so nice to say it, but we all have felt suffocated by that hahaha. As usual in this kind of trips there were a lot of fun activities to do, for example: go to the pool, do canopy, nature walks, etc. To be honest, if I could live that experience again, it would be one of...

A country I would like to visit

Imagen
Hello everyone! Today I will tell you a little bit about a country that I would love to visit in the not too distant future. The truth is that it is difficult to choose just one country which I would like to visit, since there are a lot of them, like Italy, South Korea, Sweden, etc. But in this post I would like to tell you about the country I'm most excited to visit, Norway :D The reason why I like this country is thanks to the series "Vikings" because it's set in this country. The landscapes shown are beautiful, full of nature and life. If I could travel there, what I would like most is to see landscapes both day and night, because from what I understand, depending on the time of the year, there can be almost full days of light or on the contrary there can be days with few hours of light. I would also like to visit a history museum, as I would like to know a little of the life of the vikings who were there. If I could learn the language, I would love t...
